I was arrested, released on bail and subsequently underwent investigation for a charge of Carrying Offensive Weapons in Public Places under the Corrosive and Explosives Substances and Offensive Weapons Act.

The act which got me into trouble was rash but seemingly trivial. Nevertheless, due to the seriousness of the potential charge, decided to seek legal representation shortly under the advice of my friends.

Before Gino responded to my enquiry, I contacted some other lawyers and while the possible options for me at that point in time were clearly presented, did not convey the same kind of confidence and decisiveness as him. My wife and I were in Gino’s office the same evening I contacted him and he advised that my best option was to write a letter of representation to AGC so that I do not get charged in court. Gino is straight talking and yet assuring at the same time. After the meeting, we were finally able to breathe easier and in his words, “go live your lives”.

Upon engaging him, he provided clear instructions for me to carry out leading up to the letter of representation. Throughout the entire ordeal, both himself and his assistant were very responsive and prompt with both the submission of the letter of representation as well as my requests to travel.

After 6 weeks from the submission of the letter of representation, it was Gino who broke the favourable news from AGC that I was going to be let off with a warning.

Thank you.
