Shu Ling is a Bachelor of Laws (High Merit) graduate of the Singapore Management University and was admitted to the Bar in 2020.
Shu Ling’s focus is on criminal, civil and family law matters. Whilst at Abbots Chambers LLC, she has conducted cross-examinations and examinations-in-chief of witnesses in several trials for matters involving Section 324 of the Penal Code (Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous means), criminal breach of trust, outrage of modesty, forgery, etc. Amongst other civil matters, she has successfully obtained expedited protection orders for breaches pursuant to sections 3, 4 and 7 of the Protection from Harassment Act.
Prior to joining Abbots, Shu Ling gained experience whilst assisting with a broad range of corporate matters including a variety of legal issues related to employment law and privacy and data issues. She has also assisted on various agreements, including reviewing tender conditions of contract, services agreements, and subscription agreements.
In her free time, Shu Ling enjoys reading and practicing Aikido.
