Deepansh is a Bachelor of Laws (2nd Class (Upper)) graduate of the National University of Singapore. He will be called to the Singapore Bar after he completes his training contract with Abbots.
In his legal training, he has assisted in criminal, civil and commercial matters at various levels of the Singapore Courts.
Deepansh completed his National Service with the Singapore Police Force, having completed the Officer Cadet Training for Senior Officers, graduating as an Inspector. He completed his service as a Red Team Officer with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
While studying at NUS, Deepansh was involved in a number of Local and International Moots. These included the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in 2019 regarding World Trade Law and the Ian Fletcher Moot in 2019 regarding Insolvency Law. At the same time, he was involved with pro-bono work with the State Court Student Representative Programme and the Innocence Project.
Outside of NUS, Deepansh represented Singapore at the Under-24 Level for Ultimate Frisbee for International Competitions. He was part of a team that finished 5th in the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) 2018 Under-24 Ultimate Championships. Deepansh also helped coach the Raffles Institution Ultimate Frisbee team from 2016-2019, leading them to a 1st Runner-Up position in 2017 and 1st place positions in 2018 and 2019.
